As design lead on the Doctors Without Borders retainer account, I crafted and curated email graphics, print PDFs, merch, web pages, and a myriad of other social media assets to drive their mission of providing care where it's needed most. I developed their identity and logo for their P2P sub-brand Streamers Without Borders, and designed their record-breaking Giving Tuesday fundraising campaign in 2022.

Email Retainer
The Doctors Without Borders retainer account demanded constant visual and content innovation amid changing audience segments, A/B testing, and critical rapid response campaigns to address major world crises. Every campaign concept was designed to address the mission and the moment uniquely through their bold and clear voice. These emails heavily incorporated animation, tangible-giving, and illustration to drive engagement.
Streamers Without Borders
While leading on the Doctors Without Borders design retainer, I was asked to create a brand redesign for their P2P identity on the client side. They wanted to appeal to streamers of all kinds to partner with the organization for fundraising and awareness-building. What was initially a blue sky spec-work concept immediately became the driving concept for their P2P initiatives and identity.
Design Problem
Doctors Without Borders’ identity fell short in connecting with modern streamer culture and its communities. The logo felt cold and lacked the personality vital to that community. The P2P team needed a broader visual palette to better resonate with partners and stand out as a trusted, culturally fluent voice in the space.
The Streamer Community
The streamer community is vibrant, outspoken, and highly authentic, making it a unique audience to design for. Because the P2P team was deeply embedded in this culture, the identity needed to build trust while fully embracing the community’s energy and values.
Merch & Campaigns
From concept to execution, there were countless campaigns and initiatives that Doctors Without Borders needed to be concepted and created as the needs around the world and their work changed. Many of these concepts expressed the inclusivity and universality of their outreach and care across the globe, while others focused on highly-specific issue areas. They always needed to be fresh, attention-grabbing, and in line with their voice.
Print Design
Doctors Without Borders often needed print design done for specific audiences as well as in more critical moments of their work. These included many newsletters, postcards, ad-hoc items, as well as some posters. These newsletter print items were often for specialized audiences to advertise their partnership and other programs. The poster below was a print item in response to hospitals and ambulances being bombed in Gaza.
Care Amid Crisis Webflow
One of the tentpole campaigns for Doctors Without Borders, Care Amid Crisis, was in response to the one-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine. I created the visual look and feel as well as assets for the interactive storytelling experience that told the stories of patients and doctors living through the war in Ukraine. The page, built with the tool Pageflow, drew together powerful testimonies, videos, photos, and more to create an emotional connection with Doctors Without Borders’ audience.
